I have been trying to get out to the desert or some other un-occupied land for a little non-restricted shooting, but I cant find out where I can and cant shoot exactly. Anyone here know of some specific places that they shoot and dont mind sharing or possibly want some company one weekend? Much Thanks,

I've also been looking into places in socal to shoot. The outdoor ranges in my area are getting a little crowded, and 15$ a head is alot to pay when you have a group of people going. So you pay your range fees then you gotta deal with the crowds too...Its getting to be a pain.
Checkout blm.gov and contact one of the local offices and they should be able to provide you with a map of suitable areas to shoot.
Let me know how it turns out for I have yet to make that phone call myself...

We go to the federal land out in the Palm Springs area. You can blast away with anything you've got out there.
I don't have the web site but I'm sure if you do search you can find the info.
