I am new to the forum. I am expecting my second-hand XD-40 in the mail in the next few days, having heard a lot of good things about it.

I understand that one can buy a 9mm conversion barrel for it, from EFK dragon or others. Can anyone advise on your experience with such?

With a 9mm conversion barrel, do you need to get XD-9 mags for it? I heard that some people have used the XD-40 mags, some with no problems and some modified.

I also heard that CZ 9mm mags can be used in the XD, in this case shooting 9mm with my conversion barrel. Is this true? If it is, any mod required?

There may have been threads on my questions on this forum already. Can anyone point me to them?

Check out this site... http://www.xd-hs2000.com/ the guy that runs it is ajames. He's on this forum all the time. On his site are instructions for the compete disassembly and reassembly of an XD pistol. Check around on the forum, use search and you'll probably be able to find the answers to all those questions. They've been being discussed in depth for the last several weeks.
