Yes,

The holster and mag offer runs until January 31st, 2005. I just ordered mine today. If you buy a gun that is in stock at a dealer that does not include the holster and extra mag, you can send in your proof of purchase and receive the items from Springfield ($6.95 shipping charge). Otherwise, all handguns being shipped from the distributor until that time are supposed to include the extras.

Yea I would have to check if any more are in stock, but as far as two days ago it was, but with Christmas so close who knows.

Do you know what the start date was on that? I bought my 40 Nov 27, 04. I think I remember seeing it started 12/01, but...

Could somebody explain this offer to me, I don't think I am aware of it. I tried looking on the Springfield Armory site, but it's hard to find anything other than product descriptions for the XD

Called Springfield and if it did not come with the holster and xtra mag you can not get it from Springfield for shipping price only.The distributer that did the special was RSR but I noticed Davidsons had one on their web site with the extras.The holster is made in Israel but is not a fobus.Can be ordered for $35.00 from Springfield.Thats all customer service girl said.Damm I just bought Two new XD's.

xdron40 - I am not sure of the start date for the holster offer. I just bought my gun last week. If you want to find out, call Springfield at 1-800-201-6141, and go to extension 939 - ask for Debbie, she is the one that helped me.

blackpanther - Yes, the offer is still supposed to be valid. If you purchase any new XD pistol from an authorized dealer that has one of the "old" guns in stock, you can send in your proof of purchase and receipt, plus $6.95, and receive the holster and mag. The address to send your material to is:

Attn: Debbie, Ext. 939
420 W. Main St.
Geneseo, IL 61254

Include the model and serial number, date of purchase, your name, address, phone number, the proof of purchase, original receipt, and check for $6.95. Sounds like a pain, I know, but to get a high cap mag + a fobus-style holster for 7 bucks? It's definitely worth it. I don't know who you talked to at Springfield, or what number you called, but try back with the info here and see if you can get better results. If all else fails, tell them you know other people are getting the extra equipment sent to them....

All other XD pistols shipped from distributors between now and January 31st are supposed to include the extra equipment. I made my purchase on December 20th (an "in-stock, old" gun) and have been assured that Springfield will honor the deal. I sent away for the goods yesterday, I'll let everyone know how it works out.

Thanks for that great info, I am filling my information out right now. I purchased my XD from Sportsman's Wherehouse and they sold me a 15 rnd mag to go along with my two 10 rnd mag's. I can't pass up the opportunity to get another 15 with a bonus holster. Thanks again.

I called Deb and will get the holster and mag for my new sub I bought this month.I bought a 4" last month but it does not qualify.Any info on the holster or pictures would be nice.
