I purchased a Springfield XD40 with a Bi-tone finish because I wanted to have a XD that is more resistant to rust. I have no problems at this point after owning the pistol for a year but I am paranoid about rust.
It is ashame that Springfield has produced such an excellent pistol that obviously has a defect with having rust problems. I have owned 3 glocks and currently still own 1 (G26) and have never had any rust problems with them.
You don't see a rust tales forum section on Glock Talk. The day I see a speck of Rust on my XD Bi-tone is the day I will sell it and buy a another Glock!
