Ruger has made a big leap with the SR series. Everyone loves them........ but me, here's why. I do not care for the trigger at all. One of my fellow instructors has one and has allowed my to shoot it often. I find the trigger gritty and hard compared to other striker fired pistols I have. The gun just dosen't "do it" for me. Your mileage may very though.

Is his a sr9/40 or a sr9/40c? I've read numerous reports that the trigger on the c series has improvements that are much better than the older full size pistols. The trigger on my 9c is very smooth.

I agree, I am really wanting one. My wife has a XD40 now and I carry a XD45C but would like to switch to one with a manual safety (I know many don't like them but I do), but not getting rid of my XDs. I have read that they are working on a SR45C now and may wait for that to come out (if and when). In the meantime, maybe a SR9C for my wife.
