Hey guys. so i am in the process of refinishing my stock right now to get a little russian red action.

I was also wondering about doing a duracoat or similar type finish on the receiver and the metal parts. I was wondering if anyone has tried this on their guns? is duracoat the way to go or is there something better that you have tried? do you know of any good resources that have done this before? I looked up some videos on youtube and there were some stuff on ar15 and mag duracoating so im assuming that an ak would work the same way right?

Thanks

I prefer GunKote to Duracoat. CeraKote is nice too, but I don't have any personal experience with it.

The flat black or semi-gloss of Gun Kote looks great on an AK, IMHO.
