I realize one of the beauties of the 9mm XDm is it's ability to go 19+1. However, I live in a commie state :mad:and can only get a way with 15. Anyone know if the XDm9 will have a 10 or 15 round mag available?

Thanks!

It probably will come with a 10 rd for California.

Isn't 10rds the most you can have over there?

If I am not mistaken the XD(M) is not a California legal pistol due to other problems.
You are correct the XD(M) is not on the approved list for sale in Ca.

Thanks for the info guys, but wrong coast. I'm in the commie land of NJ. We're allowed a massive 15 ROUNDS in our mags. Anyone know if the bullet count is the only thing keeping the XDm illegal in NJ?
Thanks again!

I lived in NY for many years and I don't remember that NJ had an "approval list" (ala California) so the XDM itself is not illegal. If I'm right about that then, yes, the mag size is the only thing keeping you from using the XDM in Jersey.

I must say that the best way to avoid all that BS is to move away from the eastern block states into free America. When I got to AZ from the peoples socialist republic of New York I couldn't believe the difference. It was surprising just how much we allow government to erode our liberties little by little so we hardly notice it's happening. Why, you can even buy booze in Walmart out here. IMAGINE THAT!!?? What would the NY Politburo think? Sorry for getting so carried away here. I kinda get on my soapbox whenever I am reminded of the eastern block.

Yosemite,

I appreciate your soapbox! I grew up in the People's Republic of NY, but have lived in the free states as well. I know well the differences, but for work and family reasons I am pretty much locked in to living in NJ for several more years. Believe me, the plan is to escape ASAP!

Some of the coastal inputs probably would been avoided if your info included your state.. fyi..
now that I am looking, MAMA doesn't list his state (Wash) either... humm

I hate to rub it in guys but this thread had just given me another reason to put my hand over my heart and say "God Bless Texas". My local shop just ordered me an XDM9201HCSP XDm 9mm All black pistol with two 19 round magazines. And I even get to carry actual defensive rounds in my pistol. I hope and pray that all of the members in the peoples republics listed above can move to one of the 40+ or so states that actually allow their citizens to protect themselves as soon asl possible. (sorry guys couldn't resist, no disrespect intended).

They can sell beer and wine anywhere as far as I know. They can't sell booze (Jack Daniels/Wild Turkey/Johnny Walker) in NY. Booze must be sold from state controlled package stores.

The Walmart's in NJ don't sell beer. Nor do they sell wine or liquor. I don't think they even sell ammo at NJ Walmart's. Supermarkets don't sell alcohol either. It's pathetic. I remember being down in Virginia and being able to buy wine and beer at a Walmart. I was amazed. I also picked up some beer at a gas station "quickie mart". I couldn't get over it.

If I could move, I would. I hate this state. Once my kids are out of high school, I'm thinking of heading to PA. The difference in gun laws between PA and NJ is like night and day.

lol I am also looking into PA or Virginia. I am from NJ also. A friend of mine contacted SA and they said the 10 rounders will be available soon. Other then the mags the pistol is perfectly legal here. and hey, be glad you do not live in Cali lol.

I spoke with a salesman at Sportsmen's Center in Bordentown and he was told by SA that the "NJ Legal" XDms woulld be available in Jan 09.
I'm not sure if that would include "CA Legal".
Here's hoping!

They must approve every weapon for it to be on the Ca. DOJ list, Dept. of Justice. And right now Ca. is not looking at any new weapon or changes, like the XD to the XDM even if they offered 10 round clips. Even the Sig 250 is not on the list yet. Really sucks. So eventually if there is a magazine offered over 10 rounds the guns will probably not be allowed in Ca. Give them an ich and they will take a mile.

Wow, no beer or wine in the supermarkets in Jersey??? That's even worse than NY and I didn't think that was possible. Good luck on your plans for PA Dave007 but I would look twice there as well. It is now officially a blue state and we know what that means.

I'm retired navy and get a pretty nice pension so I'm free to roam as necessary. Loving it here in AZ. Weather is great too. They don't know how to spell snow here.

They did not even submit the XDm to the CA DOJ because the CA DOJ will not test guns that do not have loaded chamber indicators and magazine disconnects.
