i am taking my CCW this month on the 22nd to get the ball rolling.
i have just bought a Glock G23 and love the gun. when i bought it who ever had it also sent me a Bianchi IWB model 120 CC holster.
when at the range a few times i tried this holster on jsut to see how it felt. now i will say that i do not have a proper gun belt yet...still looking at some of them...but the problem i have with this partucular holster is when it is on and belt cinched down the gun is not easy to get out of the holster and when putting it back in the slide wants to rack back some...is this somthing as simple as having my belt to tight?
im new at this and jsut looking for ideas right now.
im planning on getting a proper gun belt possibly Wilderness or 5.11 tactical but havent made my mind up yet and also thinking about Comp Tac minotaur or Galco King Tuk holster...thinking maybe the kydex in these holsters will solve the problem with the holster being hard to reholster or take the gun out.
any opinions or ideas would help

Are you excessively tightening the belt? Not sure why it would be doing that, unless the leather is extremely thin. No experience with Bianchi.

As far as a belt, definitely look at the Wilderness Instructor belt (5 stitch), not 5.11. If you want a cheaper alternative, Cabela's (or Bison Designs) has their version of the Instructor belt that works great -- Last Chance Heavy Duty belt.

Were do you live? I just had a belt made by a guy here in town. He made it to the width I wanted added a liner and a fancy stitch for $25.

Galco makes some good leather.. I carry my Taurus 605 on the ankle in a Galco, and I have the King Tuk that my G23 rides in...not too shabby....

I use a Comp-Tac Minotaur for my G19 (same size as your 23) and use a Comp-Tac Minotaur holster. Conceals great at 3:30.

I have a 5.11 belt. It's great and I would suggest it to anynof you looking a for a good thick belt to hold holster and it looks good too.

I'm guessing it is either a poor holster design, or the wrong model, perhaps meant for a single stack? I crank my belt down tight, and never had the problems listed.

I have a galco IWB for my XDm 45 that I like a lot, and a blackhawk CQC IWB for my G26 that I also like a lot. The galco has a better loop attachment system, while the blackhawk has adjustable retention. They are otherwise very similar. If I could combine those two features into either brand I would be extremely happy.
