If you're looking at the back of the gun when its field stripped, and depress the grip safety and then the trigger, you'll see the sear move just a bit. It'll be flat, and have a notch out of it where you'll see a spring. Mine is worn the same way, have maybe 500 rounds through mine.
taking a look at it again today after cleaning the gun, I noticed that the sear is wearing fine(just some fading blueing) but its indeed the striker edge which catches the sear... its right next to the edge where the spring loaded striker safty is...
