i have an a2 front sight and i seen a yhm flip up with gas block, how hard would it be to switch them. also does anyone know if it will work whth heavy barrels?
ARR-9394 - AR-15 Yankee Hill® Machine Front Flip Sight Tower With Bayonet Lug

switching them could be easy or hard depending on the set up of your barrel,

if you have a permenantly attached flash hider then its going to be a PITA

if you have a threaded on flash hider its a piece of cake.

punch out the taper pins slip off the A2 FSB slip on your new GB connect the gas tube, reinstall the taper pins, put your Flash hider back on and your pretty much so done.

if same procedure with perm attached flash hider but you have to have the weld broken unpin the Flash hider and when your done installing the GB you will have to have the FH repined and welded (assuming that it was pinned and welded originally because the barrel didn't meet the minimum length.
