I just purchased an XD 45 Service. Normally I can paw over a few different guns before I purchase to select the one with the best fit and finish. However, This was the only one they had so I did not have that luxury.

2 items - First, the barrel is not centered in the slide opening. If you look down the barrel, the barrel is almost touching the bottom of the slide opening with a large gap at the top. The circle of the barrel is not centered with the circle opening of the slide. Second, the trigger safety makes a "spring" sound when you pull the safety before it gets to the trigger. For example, the back strap safety does not make any noise when depressed. The trigger safety sounds like a scratching spring stretching noise.

Any one else have this?

The gap at the top of the barrel is because the XD is a tilting barrel design, lock back the slide and you'll see what I mean.

The trigger safety spring noise is common to all new XD pistols that I have handled, my Service no longer does it, my sc still does.
