Shields, that is. I sent my original off to James for a front sight repair. I figured while it was there I'd have the slide done in black chrome and do an apex trigger upgrade. While it was gone, I got Shield withdrawal and decided to pick up a no safety version.

Looks good! James really does great work. Got any plans for the new guy or keeping it stock for now? Congrats on the siblings by the way.

Thanks! Yes, the new one will probably also get some upgrades. I need to get to the range to check out the new trigger, but I'll probably do sights, trigger, slide refinish, and talon grips on the new one, too

Doubt my range will let me literally do that, but I definitely plan on a before and after shoot to see if it's worth it to do an apex upgrade on my no safety version.

I really like the Tru Glos. I will be putting a set of them on the other Shield. I never got around to putting a set on my Xdm, as it currently has a TLR 4.

Just got done installing the rest of the APEX kit. Took the opportunity to give the pistol a good scrub and polish the trigger bar with a little Flitz. Kit dropped the trigger pull by about 1 pound. Biggest difference is that the pull is much smoother. I'm still on the fence as to whether I want to do one for my no safety version. I plan on hitting the range tomorrow to shoot some rounds with each.
