Went to the range yesterday and had another FTF with my xd40sc. The problem only occured when I used my high cap magazine :( . This is the 3rd time that FTF has been an issue. I've put about 400 rds through my xd. I was shooting Federal FMJ 180 gr. Has anyone else ever had this problem? Also does anybody have a a direct link for Springfield. I would appreciate any replies.

I had a lot of feeding problems with my high-cap. It comes down to breaking in the follower spring. Get a speedloader, sit on the couch for a night of TV watching, and load, unload, load, unload, load, unload, get a beer (only if your gun is put away), load, unload, ....

Gotta work 'em in. They're stiff as a mudda when new.

Shot 150 rds through my XD-40 SC yesterday using Blazer and S&B ammo without a hiccup. Also used 9-rd magazine, 12-rd magazine with sleeve, and 10-rd magazine (used) WITHOUT sleeve. No problems with all three mags. As a matter of fact, I was practicing quick magazine changes using the three mags and rapid firing. Just testing the robustness of this new gun. By the time I got done the barrel was red hot! So far I am impressed. Great accuracy for a 3" barrel and butt reliable.

When you get a new magazine, especially a hicap, just load it up and let it sit for a couple of days. Or a week if you can stand it. That will loosen it up and everything will work a lot better. After you go to the range clean the mags up a little if you're into that. Then stuff 'em full and let 'em sit for another week. Pretty soon you'll be able to load them up full without having to use a loader contraption. They'll get easy enough that your fingers won't even get sore after you've reloaded a ton of times.
