PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR GUN IS UNLOADED, THE SLIDE IS LOCKED OPEN, AND THE AMMO AND MAGS ARE SOMEWHERE ELSE BEFORE YOU TRY THIS- OK?
Let's say you have an XD, a $20 MaxFire from WalMart, and an old cheap Weaver ring laying around- oh yes, and a dangerously-creative mind...

Amazingly enough, with the proper technique, you can activate the light with little effort. You just put your weak-hand trigger on the front of the trigger-guard, and push forward on the button. You have to adjust the light just far enough back to make this work with your hands and grip- but a little practice, it does work.

Holsters? Hey, do I have to figure everything out for you guys?

Thanks guys...

This was more an effort to see if a hare-brained idea could result in a functional appliance, than anything else. The resulting Rube Goldberg contraption will certainly not "run with the big dogs" of the weapon-mounted light world. I'm for using the right tool for the job, especially when that job involves confronting people who might be intent upon re-arranging my molecular structure.

But for a coyote stealing my chickens? This would work, and for about a tenth the price of the mission-specific gun lights.
