Why? Which are better? Which are cheaper? Which are lighter than a witch? Which work best as a temporary doorstop?

And which metal mags? Cheap, no-name surplus knock-offs, HK 416 mags...?

Be specific, man!

If you can find PMags as easily as your choice of metal mags I'd go with Pmags.

Although, I don't own any pmags. I only own milspec aluminum mags. I bought a bunch at $7 a piece a while back and a bunch used.

Metal mags have been working for years, don't mortgage the house to buy pmags. If they were both sitting on the ground for free and I only had one hand, then a pmag I guess.

Got 'em both. I'm not going driving over mine as I know even a Pmag will collapse thru enough abuse, but I guess over time with feed lips having pressure on them Pmags would be better. Apples or oranges?

my votes for pmags.....i love the look of them and less parts to rust.
Rust? GI magazines are aluminum bodies and floor plates and everything else is the same as a PMAG. Spring steel or stainless magazine spring and plastic follower. An aluminum GI spec mag has no more likeliness of rusting than a PMAG.

I like PMAGs but I am not going to get rid of my aluminum magazines. Both seem to work equally well for me. I have read an interesting thread or two (ar15.com) that the PMAG are not performing as well when they get into really cold temps (below 0F) Feed lip break off and bodies crack from waist high drops onto hard surfaces.

I like PMAGs but I have not drank the coolaid.
