I've been looking for a 16" upper with mid length gas system with a 1/ twist and cant find any in stock for a decent price.

I did find a Del-ton custom m4 rifle kit that offers a pig tail gas tube.

with this be close to the same as a mid length? my unstanding is that it decreases the pressure to about the same as a mid length system?

are there many reliability issues with a pig tail tube ?

should i go ahead with this kit or wait untill del-ton gets some more mid length 1/7 twist uppers back in stock?

I'd personally just wait till they have what you want...

Hooray midlength!

A better solution than the pigtail tube is either a JP Enterprises adjustable gas block setup where you can regulate the amount of gas and thereby change the way your rifle cycles and reduce the recoil impulse to your particular ammo and needs. They have picatinny rail adj gas blocks as well as standard M4/A2 sight tower adj blocks.

OR...

Something like Fulton's adjustable gas tube. Same principle as the JP unit, but in a smaller, more concealed package.

I like that JP adjustable gas block.

But i think i'm just going to have to wait till they get some more 1/7 twist mid length barrels in stock again. i just hope the wait isnt gonna take forever.

i wanna get my new rifle !
