"People shouldn't be allowed to order guns online!"

Sitting around talking to my wife's friend who was visiting this past weekend and we started talking about gun control, and she is conservative BTW...but she said to me, "what limits are you willing to allow, because we need some sensible (common gun control word) ones," so she named a few things that I did agree with (Ex: crazy people shouldn't have guns, etc...) then she says, "I just don't think it's right that people can get guns online!" To which I said, "whaddya mean?" Long story short, she thought that people could just go online and buy guns (new, used, etc...) and have them sent to their homes, bada-bing, just like that!! I corrected her and educated her on the process and she now knows but, MAN, the misinformation that is just sitting out there, and they believe it...a perfectly good conservative woman might have gone for gun control based on this misinformation had she not been corrected. Yes, she is educated and smart as well.


PS-She also thought anybody that wanted a fully automatic machine gun could just go get one too! I wish that one were true.
