anyone have any knowledge on this? http://www.pagerpal.com/
they got a video that describes how it works and demo it. i'm trying to find a holster that will work for me. i'm left handed, 5'10" 250lbs and wear jean shorts and a t-shirt. it's just to hot down here to add another shirt or wear pants. i tried a holster at the gun shop and i printed bad. it was a generic iwb.

hahahha the "viagra draw"
i was thinking the same thing... lol.

as for the holster, it seems pretty interesting but i would really want to see what it looks like in person. Especially since i wouldn't wear a dummy pager and the cellphone case accessory wouldn't fit my cell.

i was also wondering how comfortable it would be to wear a gun that low... like the one the size of the spokesman's.

i have worn the pager pal, and i have seen it worn. it works. it will conceal a fullsize pistol in shorts of any material (not spandex.... you get the picture). its a very solid design, its very easy to access, comfortable and it can be worn without a shirt. just like every other holster on the market, it cant be used to solve every carry/concealability issue, but it definately has a use.

the owner is based out of houston. i have talked to him several times and he said that he sells these world wide. he said a lot of soldiers use them during their off duty time. i have been planning on getting one for my arsenal of holsters but have yet to get around to it.

anyhow... it is a very good holster, you really need to see it work to believe.

P.S. you dont have to wear a fake cellphone or pager.... you can wear your real one....

I have tried one and come away dissatsfied, but that could be just me, my carry gun of choise is a full size 1911 and there just wasn't room for me and the gun in the Pager Pal, inside my pants. I have never tried a smaller one for my backup gun.

I always get a kick out of watching the guy at the gun show demontrate how esy it is to sit down wearing one, as he tries to hit the chair without bending at the middle.

Yobo, make a plan to go to the next WPB gun show. There is a guy there that has all the Pager Pal holsters in stock there with him and he encourages everyone to try them.
He shows you how they work, and how they work best.
He showed me on a commander size 1911 casting he had. (I was thinking about carrying this way for my Para.)
I ended up not getting it because my Tucker IWB Coverup is so darn comfortable.
Soo, if you are not in a big hurry, give him a look. I think the next show is July 2 and 3.

I was able to comfortably carry with one if I hab everything lined up just right. They are not a quick access and dependin on the size of gun carried, where you have to carry may look a little strange for a pager to be there.

Is it just me, or does the PagerPal holster seem...antiquated? I mean, no one carrys pagers anymore. People in these days are very acute and aware of technology, and I personally thing that a random person would be more likely to notice a pager than a couple clips on a tuckable IWB and think something of it.

 .... it doesnt have to be a pager, you can clip your cell phone to it, or your frikin laptop if you want. why would you restrict it to just a pager and a pager alone? do a little bit of reading about it before you post assumptions.

***Thread Revival!***

I just came from the SAXET show here in San Antonio, and Steve from PagerPal was there. I tried one of his holsters with the mock guns he had, but I did not have my XD with me as they don't allow concealed carry at the show. Anyhow, using the mock gun he had, I found his holster worked well wearing the cargo shorts I normally wear when I am not at work. I squatted and the "gun" did not bind or restrict my movement, and it sat on the top of my thigh comfortably enough. I am only concerned with access, it is a three-step move of pulling your belt forward, pulling up on the cell phone case (I don't think he had any pager models anymore, as someone noted, you don't see many people with them these days...except maybe for doctors!) and then drawing the weapon. I am also concerned with the grip of the weapon binding on my waistband as I was drawing the weapon.

Now, what I like about it. It is more comfortable than my IWB holster. Secondly, it is more concealed and I don't have to worry about "printing" as I do when I carry my IWB (at about the 5 o'clock position). Thirdly, it is not where people expect you to be carrying a weapon, so when my 9-yr-old comes up behind me at WalMart and grabs me around the waist, I don't get the "Daddy, what's that in your back?" question. If someone notices the bulge in the front of my pants, I'll just take it as a compliment!

I also like that it can carry any gun, so I don't have to worry about swapping out my 1911 for my XD-45ACP. However, I would still be interested in hearing if anyone has actually used a PagerPal with the XD-45...

Cheers! M2

The pager pal was my first holster for my XD service in 45 GAP. The holster was well made but the fit was pretty tight on my XD. Of course it's leather and would have loosened up more in time, but I sold it to a friend because I personally didn't find it very comfortable and the bulge in the front pocket area didn't look exactly normal...no jokes please! I sold it when I got my crossbreed supertuck, now that's a comfortable holster tht pretty much dissappears at 4:30 on me (6'2/200lbs). I'm sure it works well for some, but I would try it first!

BTW, I got mine (pager pal) on ebay through Blackwater for $39. I obviously got a great deal since no one else bid on it!;)

I just borrowed a pager pal from a friend of mine. He uses it for his glock, but my SCXD is a little tight and will come out of the holster when using two hands only. My first impression, it felt weird. I'm not used to hiding a gun in the front of my pants. I will wear it around a few days and let you know what I think. Oh, I did put my nextel in place of the pager.
