I ordered my lower from essential arms for $100 and the DTI mid-rifle upper kit. Del-ton says they are pretty backed up but I should have it in about three weeks or less. I already have five or six mags. I will go ahead and start stock piling ammo now. The bug has bit me!

When did Del-Ton say this? Today? Three weeks or less isn't bad for being 'backed up.'

And congrats on your purchase! What are the details of your middy upper?

if you think BRD disease is bad wait till you catch CTD (class three disease) it is WAY worse. especially when you have both at the same time. I am on my third class three which is also my second ar-15 im building a ar-15 SBR and now i am saving up money for a 308 suppressor that i can use on a 300 whisper upper for my SBR, but as of right now i am only building a 223 but once i order my can i will start the whisper build

I have already been waiting on del-ton for two weeks. I hope it does not take much longer, as the websites says 4 to 6 weeks.

Today del-ton said three weeks has been average. I got the m4 feed ramps and chrome lined barrel. Other than that I got all the base options. All I know about the ARs are what I learned in the service about the M4/16. I was pushed toward the del-ton kits for their price and I really wanted to build one. As far as optics go I have no clue. I picked up a detatchable carrying handle or it for iron sights but beyond that I truly have no clue. My budget is really really tight at the moment so I may be running iron sights and some of my scopes off my hunting rifles for a bit. Now I just have to play the waiting game.

Must be a jar-head thing. I ordered about the same kits today. 2 - 16" mid-length flat tops, 1x9 chrome-lined hbar, m4 feedramps and the removable carry handle. Ordered one with the green furniture so I can tell them apart. Got the same time quote on shipping too. Whew, was kinda sweating that part....

I'm going to pickup some spare parts, (bolt kits and lower pieces), in case the ban is more stringent than before. I think the rifle kits were $637 each with the shipping included. Already had scored two cmmg lowers on an off chance visit to the local gun shop. So that'll come to $760 per rifle with half way decent specs. Not too shappy in these uncertain times.

Had to save some coin for the ammo so no optics just yet. :D I'll post some gun porn when I get them put together.

^nice!!

Yeah I would love some fancy high dollar optics but I am completely out of $. I did really well w/ iron sights and in a SHTF situation I agree ammo is a little more important than a fancy scope! LOL

Well I called DTI to see if it was too late to modify my order. I wanted to get the YHM railed hand guards and the flip up front sight. The lady laughed at me and said sure. So she gets my order changed and put a note that if they were out of either just to send the standard stuff. I asked if the original time table of 3-4 weeks was still accurate and she laughed again! She said they are backed up about 12-16 weeks! So I guess my AR will be my Christmas present to myself. LOL Man this sucks!

the regular the lightweight and the diamond one.
and thats not counting the free floats that have the removable rails

Well apparently Del-ton has broken the vice they use to assemble the uppers. I find it hard to believe they only have one but I am still waiting. I am hoping my kit will ship sometime next week. BRD is even worse when you havent gotten the EBR yet.

It's been over 7 weeks and all I'm waiting for is an ejection port assembly and a forward assist...:(
