So I also picked the Holosun red dot. The screws that came with the firearm, are not long enough to mount the base plate. Now Holosun provided screws two different sizes. But they don't appear to fit the firearm. Has anyone experienced this and if so what did you do?

The screws that came with my OSP Elite were long enough to mount the Springfield base plate, and my Holosun 407 mounted to the plate easily.
The screws in the Holosun box are for bolting the RDS to the plate, not the plate to gun interface.

I ordered mine with the dragonfly. It didn’t come mounted, but the correct plate was included with the gun. The screws that held the cover plate in place worked for the optic mounting plate. I know it says to use the m3 screws provided with the gun but mine didn’t have any. So I used the cover plate screws and they seemed to work.🤷‍♂️

When I purchased the gun it did not come with a red dot did yours? So it did not have a mounting plate on it.
There should have been a certificate in the box for a free plate. You have to go to the website on the cert, provide proof of purchase and pick the plate you need and they will ship it to you.

Note** the SA plate for Holosun will NOT fit the 407k/507k optics. Just go ahead and order one from C&H.
