I haven't seen a picture of this guide rod posted so I thought I would. Kinda looks like a 1911 guide rod. 8)

Can I get your opinion, I sent you a note on the installation, did you use it? And was it hard to install? Some people said the last open coil keeps trying to go in front of the Guide rod which it does unless you turn the coil arm away from the directin you install the guide rod. So what did you think.

And an HS gen 1 after my own heart.

James - I did read the directions you sent, but they weren't really clear. The easiest way to put it is like this:

After placing bushing in slide..... with the slide upside down.....with spring over rod..... turn sharp coil end down (or toward the front sight)..... slowly push rod through coils until front of rod hits bushing and rear of rod contacts slope on rear of barrel..... slowly push and wiggle while pressing down the slope until the rod seats.

I think wiggling is the key. My fingers got pretty sore while figuring it out. I talked to Tom and he said he'd be working on making it a little easier. It's not too bad now unless you were in the Croation army or something and had to strip the gun and put it back together. I think the result is worth the trouble. This thing looks great. :D
