I'm kinda surprised that there aren't any dealers here. I would think that there would be a few XD "nuts" that were gun dealers wanting to chat. It may be my ignorance and there are, but noone really stands out. Are there rules against this?

James, maybe it would be a good idea to add to
your site that in fact you are a licensed FFL dealer
and you do sell firearms.

Since the question or comment has been addressed,
I have personally bought from AJames.

Now comes the censor and disclaimer:

I am in no way connected or/nor affliated with
the business enterprise of James Nicholas (aka
ajamesP51 - this forum). I also have not received
any numerical form of renumeration, compensation
or goods in barter for making this comment on this
thread. If a lawsuit must be incurred, please file
it against Ed Ely, LLC (Limited Liability Corporation)
through the Secretary of State of Delaware. There,
the LLCs are only $5, cheap enough to CYA. :p

With all that said, next time you are looking for an
SA XD, gives James a ring, email or holler.

That's what I'm talking about! It's always good to have a "friend in the business". I feel much more comfortable "doing business" with someone I know or trust. The vendors here have excellent reputations and anyone on the board looking to buy something can easily check "feedback" on past deals. You don't have that luxury elsewhere.
Since I'm on a roll, asking silly questions Ed...you are a Premium Sponsor but I can't figure out what you sell?
Thanks for helping a new guy.

By no means are your questions silly.

To answer your inquiry about the tag of Premium
Sponsor. I sell nothing except a line of BS  .

The Premium Sponsor tag is one that was awarded,
if I can call it that, way back when there was a fund
raising drive on the forum. Those who divied up,
got the tag. Nothing special about it, except when
called upon for $$$, several of us stepped up to the
plate and donated to help keep the forum ALIVE and
give Kermee some relief from all the expense that he was
shouldering by himself. On the subject, donations
are always welcome from any forum member.

Thanx fellers. Please notice that Frenchy has
a Charter Member tag line, glad to see that he
is back in the fourm fold.

Frenchy is the #2 man who enlisted on this forum
right behind the founder, Kermee (Dan) who is #1.

Not only is Frenchy a Charter Member, he is a plank
owner. Very few of those members around who can
claim that distinction.

Frenchy is #3

Ed is #66

OEFM is #3132

All these number are off by one. This happened during the first new software changeover.

Frenchy is really #2

ED is really #65

And OEFM is really 3131

Think I got this right.

Ok, I'll ask, what is a plank holder please. And please don't tell me it has something to do with a woody.

Thanks.

It's a Navy term...

A "plank owner" is an individual who was a member of the crew of a ship when that ship was placed in commission. Originally, this term applied only to crewmembers present at the ship's first commissioning. Today, however, it is often applied to members of a recommissioning crew as well. "Plank owner" is not an official Navy term, and has consequently been variously defined by different Navy units.
