I recently bought some once fired brass from a vendor. In the lot there were several nickle cases. My question is......What is the difference between the two as related to reloading? (last longer, cost less, etc.) Thanks for your help.

In my experience there is very little difference. Nickle (it is nickle plating on a brass case) may start to crack around the mouth of the case after several reloads. But that is about it. In my opinion.

Like Jack, I find nickel cases do not last as long as brass. So I do not intentional buy them, if I buy brass at all, but happily reload them until they split.

Thanks for the info! I will load them and keep an eye on them. Then toss them when they go bad.
