Hey guys, I am 4 days away from owning an xd 40 subcompact. Getting pretty excited. Im from Northern California. I'm a farm foreman, country singer, and hot rod fabricator. Been lurking around here for a while, what a great resource.

Welcome and good choice on your gun. I also have one. Two cheap mods I highly recommend are grip tape from either Powder River Precision or Talon Gun Grips and a Pierce Grip extension for your compact mag. These two mods make the gun a much better shooter. Total cost is under $30.
