That is great. I would think a lot of the safety futures would be a great seller. It was cool to read some positive posts about the XD on another gun forum. Not sure why a few of these guys were saying that the 9mm was good but the 40 was crap. Thanks for posting.

I agree that the XD-9 is great and the XD-40 could use some refinement. I still think it is the cartridge though, an inherently bad design on that round.

I've never had any problems w/ my .40 service that wasn't directly attributed to crappy ammo. Ive fired 1000+ Winchester White Box through it with no issues. Only issues ever were with some cheap CCI ammo with aluminum casings. The extractor tore the lip off the casing without ejecting properly. I won't buy that crap again.

Same here! Shot 700 rounds or so out of my 40 Tactical with WWB, no problems.

Shot 150 rounds of CCI Blazer, 6 failure to feeds.

Not to mention my fingers looked like they where dipped in tar, lol. Thats some dirty ass ammunition if you ask me, wont buy it again either thats for sure.

I actual think I may have been doing the limp wristing thing also, when I shot the Blazer it was my second time to shoot. I will buy another box and give it a shot though, there has been much controversy between Blazer vs. WWB in the 40 caliber.

I really think the grip safety helps the XD in these tests. I am somewhat surprised they meet/pass some of the reliability tests though. For the magazine issues, they are likely experiencing the same problems I have with the Hi Cap XD mags, so that part is accurate at least

its obviously an operator problem.
Incorrect. Springfield has to replace my XD40 after it went back three times... each time they had to replace a part until finally sending me a new one. If it was an operator problem (I am a firearms instructor), then they wouldn't have had to replace parts.
