It will be fine. Just make sure the bore is clean and dry.

This is not a 1911 so you don't have to worry so much about maintainence just to keep it going.
i bought one about a month ago and they told me to put a few hundred rounds through it before cleaning. Thats about all I know.
I went from the store to the woods and put 100 rds in mine... but it only takes me 5 min to clean mine.. if you have an extra 5 min. it is never a bad idea to give it a good checkover before live fire
Thanks for the info guys! :D :D :D

I have no reason to doubt that that is what "THEY" told him. Why would anyone lie about what "THEY" told him to do :?:

yep, thats what they told me. And i've told other people that reminded me that I told them so it must be true.

I know I said I went from the store to the woods shooting, but I just had the itch...seems to me they are shipping these guns overseas and may have some excess oil on them to protect during the shipping process, I did just buy a new one a few weeks ago and I did clean it before shooting, and cleaned it every 20 rds. for the first 100...
I would clean it first, all that shooting in the extra oil may gum it up..

I am no pro. thats just what I think

What? No this statement
'they told me to put a few hundred rounds through it before cleaning'
why would I care if they really told him or not?
OK, So I should have no problem with cleaning after 50-100 or so rounds?
Thanks again for your help
It's not really a big deal. Any sort of lubrication or preservative it would come with wouldn't cause any problems I can think of if it wasn't removed before you shot it.
