I was just about to start a new thread too, but I'll just jump in with you since I'm new and just got a XD9 4" as well. I hope you don't mind...

I just traded in my Taurus Mellenium PT145 and $170 at a gun show on New Years Day and got a NIB XD9 4". The guy also threw in a black Galco leather holster, Black Galco leather 2 mag holder, and an extra Hi-cap mag (cause I asked nicely). Sounded like a good deal to me...

Thought this would be a good spot to do my first post.
I have been educating myself on the site for a while, but being a pistol novice I did not have a whole lot to add.
I want to thank everyone here that unknowingly helped me decide to make a SA XD my choice for my first handgun purchase.
I should have an XD-9 bi-tone by the end of the week.
