Just got back from the range today testing out my new XDM I purchased on Friday. I must say that I was a little worried about how the first time out was going to be after reading some of the problems people were having. I put 250 rounds through it and everything worked out flawlessly. I could definitely see the groups tighten after the first 150 or so. My biggest problem was I was shooting left. I started out shooting high and left but after remembering people saying focus on shooting at 6 o’clock position I was just shooting left. I am thinking if I switch the back straps to the small ones it will bring my hand around. I am going to change it out tonight and try to get back out this weekend.

All in all a very impressive handgun. :D:D:D

Only complaint is that the mags are a bugger to get that 16th round in. I'm sure they will loosen up a bit over time. Ill just have to deal with the sore thumb for now. :p

I'm glad I must not be the only one that finds loading the mag to be a bit of a challenge. After the 10th round it's a pain in the keister for me. Maybe I'm just a sissy lol
Did you XDM guys get mag loaders with your guns??? If you did, use them. They aren't the best mag loaders but they will be a BIG help in loading those tough to load new mags. BTW congrats on the new "M"!!!!!

try an UPLULA pistol mag loader, its universal and 100x better than the XD loader
After looking like a fool for about 45 seconds trying everything i could to get that last round in i did pull out the mag loader. No go on it. I just gave up at that point. I might have to look into getting a decent loader. Never really needed one but i guess inorder to plug in 16 rounds things are going to be a bit tight for a while.

Thanks for the tip

Yeah, got the mag loader and after weeks of contemplation I simply have to ask. What the hell is that little button on the side of the thing for????
its for if you clip it to the side of the mag holders, the button holds it from coming off... push the button in, and slide it off...

AHA!!! I never would have figgered that out as I don't use the supplied mag holder. THANKS!!

HOWSOMEVER, the need to carry a mag loader around is a bit of a mystery. Once you have invested your 30rnds into the situation how likely is it that you would have time to refill the mags from a cache of rnds you must have floating around somewhere else on your person? I suppose it can be useful on the range but even there it seems a bit awkward. Nah, mag loaders belong in range bags or in your top dresser drawer.

Just my $.02.
Yeah I don't even know where mine is... I've got almost 14,000 rounds through my xd, and only about the first 50 were loaded with the magloader...
