i have the older version...locks up real solid. i took mine off because i found that my handling is better without it, but if you're in to vfg's i highly recommend gg&g

I also have one of the older ones......it's a KAC knock off. See the advantage of a "compartment" on the new one.

ahhh, this is getting to be a ridiculous decision. first, I dont know which vert. grip I would like the best and dont want to spend $100 on one. Second, I am not sure if I want to put a bipod or not. I have considered the Grip pod but have heard that they are best on short rifles. As soon as my upper gets here, I will have a 16" midlength AR. Any suggestions now?

Well the $33 price tag certainly looks a LOT better than the previous version running over twice that much!!! I like the new cap design a lot better than the old model.

I definitely like the price tag! I found a like new grip pod for $45 so now I just need to decide between the two...
