Got my Springfield catalog and on the back is an XD Custom Pro. Never saw this version before. OD finish with Stainless slide. All kinds of extra's, just did not have a price. Looked at the normal online sources for some pricing info but no go. Anyone got any information? Thanks. Bob

Just came in the mail today. It has got the Pro Series knifes in it so I guess it is pretty new. Strange part is the cover says '04...

I have seen these (not OD green) on a couple of different websites for over $900.

I think I read in the description that there was Bo Mar Sights, fitted BarSto barrel, trigger job.

If you check out the custom shop .pdf from the springfield website they offer the cutom pro package for $750.

I got two catalogs, lol. Seems SA has problems with my european first name. I saw the custom shop XD and will keep my stock service XD-9, thank you. Why mess with perfection?

I am a new member of this forum and have been doing a lot of research on the XD series before I decided to buy one. I finally made the call this morning and am picking up an XD-40 X-treme gear package (XD-40, 3hicap mags, holster) in the morning. Anyway, enough of my rambling here's how to get a catalog, just make sure to specify that you want the XD Series catalog because the regular Springfield product catalog is not for XD products.

For a Free mini catalog call 800-680-6866, or write, Springfield Armory, 420 West Main Street, Geneseo, IL 61254.

Thanks, I am still trying to decide between the Service model or Subcompact model. I'll have to hold them both in the morning to know for sure but I will be buying one or the other. Thanks again, so far this forum has been the best resource for information that I have found.

I have the subcompact myself and love it. One thing to consider is that there are aftermarket conversion barrels and Don's Guide Rods available for the 4" models. I'm not sure what you'd be primarily using the XD for but keep that in mind. If I would have known this when I bought mine I may have opted for the service model. :)

It will mostly be for home defense in replacement of my Python that I don't want to fire in fear of decreasing its value. However, I plan to get my CCW soon as well. I think it will all come down to how they each feel in my hand. So I'll have to see.
