I went down to my local shop and asked what parts they had for XD's. there reply: XD's just came out we dont have anything, but if you want some glock parts we got a plenty. well that doesnt do me any good. I went to Ajames site to find what i was looking for and the part i need the most is out of stock. i need the firing pin retaining roll pin or something. the one that stops the firing pin from going to far forward. well untill i get this part my gun is just sitting in its case because i dont want to carry it in this condition. ill explain. since i dont have that retaining pin, when the gun is not cocked and ready to rock the firing pin is sticking out like an 1/8 of an inch and im afraid that if i put a mag in the gun and let the slide go it'll fire the round before its fully seated and without me pulling the trigger. ok well if anyone around tucson or phoenix can help me out i would greatly appreciate it. or if anyone knows another website where i can get these parts. oh an i also need a grip safety spring but james has those in stock. thanks alot, Mike.

That roll pin is 3mm x 16mm, some hardware stores carry them. Or send me your address and I'll drop several in the mail tomorrow for you. I bought a bunch just to give away, since they are literally pennies apiece in bulk. :D

Hmmm, the secret inventory. As a purchasing manager I have that too. Some is in a drawer in my office, some is in a cabinet (location to remain secret) and some is on the shelf. Don't ask why, it is a secret! 8)

hard rock;
i understand your concern but when you incert an mag. and chamber a round the fireing pin will be held back by the sear. there is no de-cocker therefore it will be impossable for the slide to close with the fireing pin sticking out unless there is something wrong with your fireing pin and sear. a lot of auto parts stores carry these roll pins in stock.
good luck.
