So I recently purchased a XD40 from fellow XDTalk member CahillXD (Thanks!) and now my XD 9 has a friend to play with! I definately appreciate the little recoil of the 9mm now that I have a .40 S&W. The XD40 came with the sweet Tripp hard chrome on the slide, which was the selling point for me, I think it is purty! And it shoots great too! Anyway, hope everyone enjoys a little gun porn!

Are those Pachmeyers or Hogues on the 40? If pachmeyer, which do like better?

Edit: I see the pachmeyer name on it now that I look closer

Personally, I like the Hogue Handall better because it has slightly larger finger grooves for my fat fingers . It also has a bump type thingy on each side of the grip wheras the pach is just flat. I bought both when I got my XD 9 to compare, and I went with the Hogue.

did you have to trim the hogue much?

To make it fit properly you have to cut a 5/8" x 3/8" (I think those are the right dimensions, I don't have mine on me right now to look at) slot in the top of the back side of the grip
