I have quite a few 1911's but always liked the clean look of the GI 1911. I picked one up yesterday, all the ranges are closed so I will have to wait before running some 230gr ball ammo thru her!

Nice firearm !!
I wanted one like that for my first 1911, but I got a Range Officer Operator for the better sights for these old eyes.

You like that hammer style better than the "skeleton" with a hole in it?

Yes, for this gun its perfect, nothing fancy, just what I wanted. If I want to go and show out at the range, I'll take one of my other 1911's.

These are some of my Springfield 1911's. Along with a Remington Stainless R1, and a CZ-97B. The Mil-Spec is the second up from the bottom, in the center of the photo.
