I'm setting up a Mossberg 500 for anything but hunting. It currently has an 18.5" cylinder barrel and a poly black forearm I installed this weekend. Now I'm looking at replacing the butt stock too.
I've only used factory stocks on everything I've owned to date (Winchester, Mossberg, Stevens) and have a bit of experience with assorted other brands, mostly Remington 870.
Is one butt stock better than another for these parameters:

Is one butt stock better than another for these parameters:
- I have long arms and need a long LOP
- I'm favoring some sort of "red dot," non magnifying optic (I haven't decided on which model)
- I do not want anything tacti-collapsible!
- price is a consideration (trying to keep this a budget first build, especially as I look at "red dots," I might replace factory bead with tritium bead)
