It’s an unloaded gun indicator. Put the little forked end into the chamber and leave the non-forked end sticking out the side of the ejection port and close the slide on it. Now at a glance you know the gun is unloaded.

Keep it in your range bag. You never know if you will visit a range or a competition that may require them during a cease fire. I know it sounds anal but I have been to some ranges that require this. It never hurts to have safety accessories for soem timem in the future if the need arises.

I've been to the range before, just not to shoot. I've been there to watch the cops practice.

I am sorry. Hope they shoot better then the one's here. Tacoma PD can't hit the side of a barn from the inside.
