I have multiple magnetic gun/magazine bars mounted around the house. Bought my 9mm Mod.2 (which I love just like my XDM 40) and the magazines don’t stick to my mounts. My XDM was bought many moons ago, is this normal for newer guns/models??
Not real happy that my quick and easy, already mounted system is partially useless now. My XDM is still my primary HD gun, but still...

Just a guess - 300 series stainless isn't magnetic. It's pretty common stuff. If that's what they're using, they won't stick.

Yep... it's the stainless steel. They don't work w my NeoMag carriers either...

The lack of iron (ferrous material) is what makes em "stainless".

The XDM mags are nice and shiny and magnetic. Sounds like cost cutting strikes again...

Not quite. 301 stainless, for example, is 73% iron. What makes it stainless (and less magnetic) is the 17% chromium and 7% nickel. There's also 3% manganese, 1% silicon, and a few other trace elements.

K... I was wrong.

It happens more than I'd care to admit.
