Recently purchased xdm 5.25 and I use it to shoot Uspsa. My mag release was stiff when I bought it and assumed it would break in. Well it hasn't and has proved to be a problem in matches. I have two other xdms and both are considerably easier. How easy could this be to fix? I do want to put an oversized released on the gun at some point also

Mine is also stiff and notchy. Frog lube helped, but i'm thinking I need to pull it and polish the plastic. Maybe I lighter spring if there is one. That helped a lot with my 1911's.

Not to many things can go wrong there, if spring is installed correctly and no burs on plastic, I'd switch springs with other xd and see if that gives you what ur looking for.

I just bought a new XD 45 4in and it feels like it gets stuck. Almost very time when ya try it with the left hand. It looks ok my others are fine. Don't really want to take it a part might have to if it dont loosen up.

I would just go ahead and put the extended mag release in.
