My local club doesn't have a specific Production division every match, so if you want to shoot, you're as Limited or Open (depends if you want to shoot each stage once or twice). Going up against someone with a tricked out STI or Bedell custom gun shooting 9mm major with ultra high capacity magazines in excess of 20rds, it gets a bit hard.

Anyone have any data on what a .40 12rd magazine can hold in terms of 9mm rounds and still be reliable? Perhaps chopping the follower down a bit and be able to squeeze 16-18rds instead of 15?

A stage we had today was two arrays of 4 IPSC standard targets (2 per) so I had to start with 15+1 and make all my shots count without forcing myself to reload twice for the stage instead of once.

I'm open to any suggestions.
Thanks :)

I'm gonna shove your overlay up your butt Mr S! 8)

Blah why don't you get me a 9mm major gun when you get yours? Afterall, I'm saving all that brass, you can just load for us both! :p

Hrm, maybe I should hijack one of your 40 mags to experiment on!

You might want to try a Mec-Gar 17 round magazine. They make them for other 9mms. You most likely will only have to put the mag retion hles in the right places. Check to make sure that they don;t bend the extractor though if you are slamming them home.
