I finally installed the Choate 7-shot magazine extension on my Mossberg International SA-20 Tactical Shotgun. It required that I take a round file to the magazine tube as there was lip keeping the spring retainer in the tube. The Choate Machine kit came with the spring, extension and an extra follower. I retained the Mossberg follower since it works perfectly. I lost use of the tri-rail that came with the gun with the new mag extension so I got a new tri-rail online for about $24. The mag extension from Choate cost about $48. (www.riflestock.com).
I hung the flashlight on a UTG 1” scope mount. Hey. It works and I didn’t have to buy a flashlight holder. Easy to flick the light on with my thumb.
The gun came stock with the fiber optic front sight, adjustable ghost-ring rear sight, tri-rail up front, picatinny rail up top and a pistol grip. All for the grand total of $420 in 2010. IÂ’ve got the sights dialed in dead-on at 30 yards and so far it shoots slicker than (and almost as quick) Bill Clinton at the DebutantÂ’s Ball.
IÂ’ve included pics. The only thing left is to take it to the range and see how it cycles. Maybe.
