So I get an email from Grabagun today that they have a sale on the springfield M1A scout rifle for $1350 plus the rebates for the free mags, have been wanting an M1A for awhile but don't know too much about them, is the synthetic stock decent on this type of rifle or should I shell out for a walnut stock? any input is appreciated.

Thats a GREAT price for a Scout Squad New. I have it in synthetic and a loaded (22 inch) in wood. Get the synthetic. It'll take a beating and is a little lighter too. If it is for a safe queen wood looks nice.

Don't turn that down for that money. It sounds like a fluke. I have not ever seen them that low. That is not far from cost.

And 5.99 shipping? No sales tax?

No Brainer. Order that quick!

You won't be sorry. This is a GREAT Rifle. Did you get the synthetic? The price was rock bottom.

yes I grabbed the synthetic stock, shipped out on Tuesday waiting on my FFL to get it :mrgreen:
The wood looks nice, but the synthetic is the way to go if it's going to go out and play!

Probably will get a coupon with it too. Don't spend the money on SA Mags. Buy Checkmates and you can get twice as many just about! 20 rounders would be what I recommend.
