I am looking to replace the grip safety and hammer on my CMD. I have already replaced the magazine release, thumb safety, and slide stop lever with Wilson Combat Bulletproof parts. Are the WC G/S and hammer good, or are there other models you suggest? I was thinking if I went with the WC parts the finish would match on everything better.

Here is the G/S I was looking at.

Here is the hammer.

I haven't talked to my gunsmith yet, but I'm thinking I'll need to replace the disconnector & sear as well.

Here it is so far. I haven't done anything lately except for shooting it ;). She is a sweet shooter, my first 1911.

Sweet gun! Generally when I start nodding up a 1911 I use Wilson parts or Ed Brown parts. Served me well in the past.

Good deal, thanks! I think I'll just stick with the WC parts.

I need to do the same for my Armscor. I think it's time to start acquring a few jigs for 1911 work as well as some tools. And probably a book or two :-D

But yeah, Wilson or Ed Brown parts are on my mind too.
