I have a Fire Dragon 9mm conversion barrel for my .40 Tactical. It fed, functioned, and fired well until I took the slide apart to clean it. I put it all back together, however, now the firing pin will not strike the primer hard enough to fire the 9mm rounds. It continues to function flawlessly with the .40... not one misfire.

When I took the slide apart, all I removed was the back plate, took out the spring and cocking indicator, sprayed it with some gunk remover, lightly oiled it, then (I think) returned everything to normal. I didn't mess with the extractor, or any other internal slide parts. Any thoughts?

check the pin that passes through roughly teh middle of the slde and passes through the firing pin. If it is not lined up just right, it WILL cause the firing pin to bind.

take it back apart and reassemble it again just to be sure all is done correctly.
