My AR needs a new barrel. This one is pretty much done for. Bullets in a 25 yard range are tumbling. I don't think the bullet is fully engaging the rifling.

Does anyone know where to get an inexpensive M4 style barrel? Chrome not necessary.

How old and how many rounds have you put through it?

I'll second that... I'm also shopping for a new barrel.

Mine is a 14.5'' barrel with a pinned compensator that I really don't like... I want a full 16'' with a flash hider.

Of course my barrel has only had about 60 rounds through it.

I see Del Ton has a 16" barrel for around $160.

Del-Ton, Inc. AR-15 Barrels - 16" Barrels

Just wondering if anyone has found anything less expensive.

My Armalite is used. The rounds are now tumbling in mid air. I have no idea what the round count is since I'm at least the 2nd owner.

What twist rate is your barrel and what weight bullets are you shooting?

If you have an older AR with a 1-12" or 1-14" twist rate and are shooting heavier bullets in the 62-75 gr range it won't stabilize them.
