My XD 9mm Tactical model arrived yesterday and I'm about to take it to the range. I've give a report as soon as possible. I'll say this right now, it looks well built and thought out. I've never taken one field stripped an XD before, but I didn't miss a beat in taking this one apart. I also like that it's not a pain to reassemble the guide rod as it is in a 1911. I'm gonna oil this baby up and take it to the range.
Peace out

Congrats on your new addition to the family. I was looking into that same model but have decided on the SubCompact to compliment my XD-9 service model.

Have fun!

At the range, it fed every round, was accurate and very comfortable to shoot. This is probably the best gun I've owned. I noticed how slim it is too, so I think concealing won't take too much of an issue for me. I'm glad I joined the club.
