i reload in .223 for both plinking and match loads.
buying my materials in bulk for my plinking stuff i can load for about $140 per 1k rounds and my loads are more accurate than anything i have bought
FWIW i do not include me setup expenses which was about $500 including a work station. three sets of dies Calipers, Tumbler Micrometer. media manuals, ect ect ect.
i scavage most of my brass from a local indoor range since its all normally once fired. most reloaders pick up their brass even if they don't plan on reloading and recycle it for cash to off set the cost of buying new brass or other materials.
best part about reloading is you can fine tune the load to your rilfe to make it more accurate.
