Yes the XDM and Elite will both fit, as far as the red dot, most companies are cutting the top edge to accommodate those. I have a Cross Breed and while I haven’t worn it much it works. I still like my Galco Summer Comfort better for my Hellcat and XDM better but it’s not kydex.
IWB hybrid holster recommendation
I have an XDM Elite 3.8” Compact OSP .45 ACP with the Hex DragonFly red-dot and am looking for recommendations on a hybrid IWB Kydex holster. I prefer Alien Gear‘s Shapeshift or Tuck holsters but am open to other similar options.
In general, are “XDM 3.8 Compact“ and “XDM Elite 3.8 Compact” holsters interchangeable? If so, Aliengear has a shell for the non-elite model that may work for me, although the optics may be a show stopper there.

I just checked my old Galco for my XD 45 and it would be a no go with a dot. But the new one for the Hellcat is cut out for one. At least with kydex a die grinder can make things fit. 😁 Here’s kinda what to look for for dots, old on the top new version on the bottom. Hopefully some others will chime in with some more suggestions.Thanks for the reply and recommendation.
I tried a Crossbreed Supertuck Deluxe which didn't accommodate the optics. I modified the kydex to work but that holster is not comfortable to me.
I ended up going back to Aliengear. I contacted them and although their holsters won’t work as purchased with a red dot, they allow you to modify their IWB Cloak Tuck line (not their Shapeshift line) without voiding the warranty. I did that and it works great, looks good and feels comfortable.

Im a fan of Versacarry OWB. I cant imagine anyone claiming them as junk AND in the same breath advocating safariland?!
For future reference, C & G Holsters makes a kydex IWB holster (not a hybrid) designed for this gun that accommodates optics and suppressor-height sights. So far it’s the only one I’ve found for this gun that works without having to hack it up. It’s called Springfield XD/XD-M Elite 3.8" OSP IWB Covert Kydex Holster.
