Last year before the newer NFA reg's took place I submitted forms for an SBR and suppressor. Got my stamps back a while ago so here we go.

Bravo Company Upper and BCG with ambi charging handle.

Bravo Company mil-spec buffer tube with H2 buffer

Bravo Company ambi fire selector

Bravo Company BFH 11.5" Carbine barrel

Surefire SOCOM556 Suppressor

Ruger AR556 stripped lower

VLTOR EMOD buttstock

Daniel Defense lower parts kit

Magpul MOE + rubberized pistol grip

Troy ambi magazine release

Phase 5 Tactical enhanced Bolt catch/BAD lever

Fortis Night Rev Handguard

I'm hoping to have the majority of components in this week. My goal is to have it together next weekend.

5.56 correct. Surefire has 2 versions of the SOCOM can. The regular length and "mini"

I went with the mini.

I'm a righty but for a fighting rifle I prefer as much to be ambi as possible.

Not a fan of the trigger guard that shipped with the parts kit. Much prefer the LWRC oversized guard. It even fits.

I agree. The parts kit trigger guard looks very restrictive. The LWRC definitely gives you some room. Especially if wearing gloves. Nice choice.

Mil-spec NiB triggers are still craptastic.

What I don't like about the standard "USGI Winter Trigger Guard" is that finger-gnawing gap.

I think that's the real reason why foam earplugs were invented.

Welp it takes GI, Magpul, Hexmag and Surefire mags. Didn't lose any springs/pins. Mates up nice and tight to a BCM upper. Next step is a stock, rail and barrel.

The more I look at them, the more lowers with over sized trigger guards machined in make sense.

The ears are too easy to break and it's one less thing to install in a build.

That poly lower I have has that molded into it. It also will engage the selector to safe with the hammer up which is odd for an AR platform rifle.

Yep. Good looking build to this point. I agree with Dev. Recently been purchasing lowers that have the trigger guard machined in. Like the oversized that most are coming with. One less part to be concerned with.

VLTOR stock has landed. Fits nice and tight and gives an amazing cheekweld. I liked the idea of the water tight tubes so I can tuck the SBR paperwork in there.
