the Romanian drum isn't like the Chinese drum. Totally different way they operate. Korean drums are copies (same tooling) of Chinese drums. Bulgaria didn't issue drums as a rule for RPKs because they used surplus Russian, and German drums and as withe Poland and Germany they helped pioneer the 5,45s for the most part. Bulgaria will import them and sell them for export. And the Korean/Bulgarian/Chinese drums aren't cheap by any means. Look at the metal work and welds between them and Romanians...A few months back a large Arms Dealer got snagged by the FEDS for
illegally importing CHINESE drums and passing them off as European.
I myself find it odd that Romania , Bulgaria , and Korea would all buy
used Chinese tooling and start making cheap drums for sale in the U.S.
That said they are all made out of stamped sheet metal and the design is pretty simple. I say just buy and try.
