I was almost certain that it was on this forum that Isaw postings about internal barrel polishing via extruding an abrasive paste under pressure. I ran a search uner extrude, polishing, etc. and came up with nothing. Any help appreciated.

Extrudehone is the company doing the barrel polishing. Since the site was hacked you're not going to find any of the former posts about the process. I can tell that Sgt Steve on the board is the man to conact about it. Im not sure if they are still doing it or what they charge etc.

Should get ole Sgt in here and repost the information. I was wanting to have a couple barrels done but never got around to sending them out.

It is Extrudehone that does the pistol barrels, but they only do it when there are enough to make it worthwhile. It's not their regular business, just something Steve decided was worth a try and it really worked out well. They were waiting for the IPSC/IDPA season to get over before doing another run of them. Steve said he would let me know when they were ready to do it again, but he's been tied up with a project in the factory. He told me he would post on this forum when it was time. I'll e-mail him and see if he has a time frame.

No, it's more like driving a soft clay, with a very fine abrasive in it, through the barrel under pressure. At least that's how Steve described it to me.
