4600rds through my M&P 9 without a hiccup. I highly recommend you give Dan Burwell a call for some trigger work. The stock trigger isn't bad, but I think it could use a little lightening up. Mine is set at 3.5lbs, and is a sweet shooter.
My brother in law has an M&P 40 and he loves it. I had the chance to shoot it a few times and I think its a great pistol. It has a real quality "feel" to it that you don't get with a lot of polymer pistols. Hope you enjoy it!
